City Lit, Europe's largest adult education college, has taken home a Silver Award at the Heist Awards 2011 in the Creative Thinking and Innovation category for its website's new 'rate and review' system, designed and created by specialist digital agency, Underwired.
The annual Heist Awards is an internationally recognised premier awards programme for marketing in the education sector, celebrating innovation and professionalism in the industry. This year the awards were presented at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on 26th May.
In 2010, City Lit's website, designed and created by Underwired, was highly commended in the Best Student Recruitment Website category, so this repeated recognition of its digital presence is testament to the work that has gone into creating such an innovative website.
Liora Ives, director of marketing and communications at City Lit, commented, "We are thrilled to have been successful at the Heist Awards for the second year running. We took a risk by introducing a system that allows students to review our courses, but it was important to us that they are able to share their feedback.
"As well as helping the business grow in difficult times as part of a bigger strategy, the project makes a strong statement about the kind of organisation we are; open, honest, interested in what our students say and happy to provide them with a platform to tell others."
